Media Diet – May 2024

May had a varied mix of media in it.

I kept up my pace of one book a week this month as well. I am well on track to reach my reading goal for this year of 24 books, should be done by the next month. Starting off the month with Filterworld by Kyle Chayka and then another non-fiction title The Mushroom at the End of the World by Anna Lowenhaupt Tsing. Ending the month with two fiction titles, Library of the Unwritten by A. J. Hackwith and This Is How You Lose the Time War by Amal El-Mohtar and Max Gladstone.

As far as movies go, I watched more than I expected. Starting off the month with Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World and Ghost Dog and ending with Point Blank and Porco Rosso.

I also watched one TV show, Shōgun. It was quite good.

As far as video games go, I started playing the early access version of Hades 2, I’m still chewing on it and may have thoughts on it later. I also started Ghost of Tsushima, this released on PC halfway through this month and this is my second playthrough of it. I am going through it at a leisurely pace.

I have also been really vibing with Billie Eilish’s latest album HIT ME HARD AND SOFT. Short and sweet with a good variety of production on it. LUNCH is probably my track of the summer unless something better comes out.

That’s all from me, see y’all next time!
