Bandcamp picks continue! This month we have a bunch of electronic along with a sweet taste of Yemen to end it all with.
Let’s get started!
Metalogue & Fluff – Slate Horizons
A collaborative album with a mix of industrial and various experimental effects I like to call the “glitch” aesthetic. This album is supposed to depict “a dark, powerful and bleak vision of a dystopian, post-apocalyptic nightmare. “. It absolutely nails that. Favourite track – Radio Silence.
Creep N00M – Chase EP
A short and sweet grimy dubstep EP from UK based artist Creep N00M. For all your wub wub needs. Favourite track – Glock VIP.
VRRS – VRRS001
A minimalist electronic album from another UK based artist VRRS. Perfect for starting off your electronic mixes too. Favourite track – MK249C2.
Visager – EXTREME MEATPUNKS FOREVER: Powered By Blood OST
A folk punk melodic masterpiece from Visager for the game EXTREME MEATPUNKS FOREVER.
I’ll just quote the description of the game here:
A serial visual novel/mech brawler about four gay disasters beating up neonazis in giant robots made of meat.
Yeah. Favourite track – ROOTS AMONG ASH.
Yemen Blues – Insaniya
This beautiful album combines “pan-African musical styles with funk, traditional Yemenite music, and the aesthetics of Italian composer Ennio Morricone”. Absolutely fantastic vocals combined with fun instrumentals make this a joy to listen to. Favourite track – Mountains will dance.
