Starting off the year strong with a variety of media in my media diet! As per the requirements of the Combined Media Challenge I have read at least one book, watched at least one movie and played at least one video game this month. In addition to that I also watched some new video essays.

I first read a Becky Chambers book, the first book in her Wayfarers series back in 2022 during my reading challenge. I think it was the only book that year that I finished in one sitting. It was that good.

This book came out on the 16th of January, I started reading it on the 17th and was done by the 18th. I just absolutely devoured this book. It was entirely possible that I could have finished the book on the 17th if I had not stopped myself from continuing.

Going back to the Studio Ghibli catalogue for a bit here. This movie was directed by Isao Takahata who also directed Grave of the Fireflies. Grave of the Fireflies was quite good so I had high hopes for this one and it did not disappoint.
