Fall is properly here in Toronto and I am very much enjoying it, even the rain.
I write this post sitting at Dineen Coffee in downtown Toronto, this cafe was recommended to me by my sister. I am enjoying a nice matcha latte. I’m really into matcha these days.

Continue reading “Reading List 3”I watched a single video essay, Art in the Pre-Apocalypse by Jacob Geller. As usual with Jacob Geller video essays I always come away with a lot of food thought.
I also finished Baldur’s Gate 3 which was a game that did get a full written review from me. A fantastic time.
I also started and dropped Starfield which was not a good time. It is a Bethesda game in all the good and bad ways. Thoroughly confirmed that I don’t indeed the Bethesda style of game. Meh.
I read a bunch of online articles/essays which you can find linked in reading list 1 and reading list 2. I also read one book while I was on vacation, Legends & Lattes by Travis Baldree, nice and cozy read.
I watched some TV shows while on vacation, I watched the second season of Foundation, the first season of Hijack and most of the third season of Ted Lasso. All of these are Apple TV Plus shows which I signed up for one month of to watch Foundation but ended up watching the others.
Season two of Foundation was kinda meh, there were some good bits but overall I continue to be disappointed in the show. Hijack was a very enjoyable thriller. The third season of Ted Lasso has been good so far and is a noticeable improvement from some of the slumps in the second season. I hope they stick the landing with the ending.

As summer draws to a close, so begins one of my most favourite times of the year. Autumn or fall, whatever you call it is a beautiful transitory time just before the chills of winter truly set in. Here are some things I read since our last reading list that will keep you occupied during this time.

Every once in a long while I play a video game where in the middle of having a grand ol’ time I have a realization: this is one of those once in a decade kinda experiences right? Like this game is so fucking good! The word “masterpiece” gets thrown out a lot in media reviews but I truly believe this is one of the best games I’ve ever played and if there is one title deserving of the word “masterpiece”, it is this one.
A game where after spending approximately 84 hours in my first playthrough I am thinking of just starting another one with a completely different character to see what that experience is like. This game has been on mind for the last weeks and I expect it to be in my thoughts in the years to come.
